Your blade subscription, explained honestly
The short version: you get fresh blades on your schedule, you're charged before each shipment with a heads-up email, and you can skip, pause, or cancel any time with a few clicks. No fine print, no tricks.
How it actually works
When you subscribe at checkout, you're signing up for automatic blade refill shipments on a cadence you choose: monthly, every 6 weeks, every 8 weeks, or every 12 weeks. Most subscribers start monthly and switch to every 6 or 8 weeks once they find their rhythm.
What you get each shipment: A 4-pack of Freya blade cartridge refills for $11.00. The 4-pack replaces your blades for roughly 4–8 weeks depending on how often you shave.
When you're charged: We charge your card on your scheduled charge date. You'll get an email 5 days before every charge — that's your window to skip the shipment, change your cadence, or do anything else to your subscription before the charge processes.
Your first refill: Your starter kit ships immediately with 2 blade cartridges included. Your first subscription refill ships on the cadence you selected at checkout — so if you chose monthly, you'll receive your first 4-pack about 30 days after your kit arrives.
You're in control
We say "cancel anytime" a lot. Here's what that means in practice:
- Skip a shipment
- Don't need blades yet? Skip your next shipment with one click. No charge. Your subscription picks up on the following cycle automatically. No need to explain why.
- Pause
- Going traveling? Pausing for a life change? Put your subscription on hold for 1, 2, or 3 months. It resumes automatically on the date you choose. You're never charged during a pause.
- Change your cadence
- If monthly is too fast, switch to every 6 or 8 weeks. If you're shaving more, go faster. Change it any time from your account.
- Cancel
- Yes, for real — cancel any time, no cancellation fee, no dark-pattern obstacle course. Log into your account and cancel from the subscription dashboard, or email us and we'll do it within one business day. Per FTC rules, canceling should be as easy as signing up. It is.

What if I don't like it?
If you're not happy with your Freya starter kit for any reason, you have 60 days from delivery to request a full refund. Email us with your order number. We don't require you to ship anything back.
If you have a problem with the product — something isn't working right — email us immediately. The handle has a 1-year warranty. Waterproofing failures are replaced no-questions-asked, full stop.
The price, honestly
$11.00 for a 4-pack of blade refills. That's the subscription price; the same pack bought one-time is the same price. The subscription value isn't a price discount — it's the convenience of never having to remember to reorder, and the 5-day pre-charge notice so you're always in control.
For comparison: Billie 4-pack refills run $9–$11. Venus cartridges (2-pack) typically run $12–$20. Freya's blades are 5-blade precision cartridges with an aloe strip, priced at a consistent $11.00.
No price surprises. No subscription "introductory price" that jumps. What you see at checkout is what you pay every cycle.
No-tricks pledge
- You will always get an email before you're charged — 5 days notice, every time.
- The skip and cancel buttons are in your account dashboard and they work. We won't make you call a phone number or wait on hold.
- We won't guilt you with confirm-shaming copy.
- We won't change your price without telling you first.
- We won't enroll you in a subscription you didn't opt into.

- Do I need a subscription to buy the starter kit?
- No. You can buy the Freya starter kit as a one-time purchase. The subscription is for blade refills only. The kit includes 2 blade cartridges to get you started.
- What if I already have too many blades?
- Skip your next shipment — free, one click, no explanation needed. Or switch to a longer cadence (every 8 or 12 weeks). You're never forced to receive a shipment you don't want.
- Can I subscribe to multiple products?
- Right now, the subscription is for blade refill 4-packs only. The handle is a one-time purchase.
- What payment methods do you accept?
- All major credit cards. Payment is processed by Shopify Payments (Stripe).
- Do blades ship in plain packaging?
- Yes. All Freya orders — including blade refills — ship in plain, unmarked outer packaging with no Freya branding visible from the outside.
- Can I cancel in the middle of a billing cycle?
- Yes. Canceling stops future charges. Any shipment already processed for the current cycle will still ship. If the charge is within 24 hours, contact us immediately and we'll try to intercept it.
- Is there a minimum subscription period?
- No minimum. Subscribe for one month, then cancel. No penalties.
- How do I skip or cancel?
- Log into your account at hifreya.com/account. All subscription controls — skip, pause, change cadence, cancel — are in your subscription dashboard. Or email hello@hifreya.com and we'll handle it within 1 business day.
